Sending and receiving messages

Ability8 chat provides a simple and secure way for you and your team to communicate. Chats can be one to one or a group.

When a message is sent, the recipients are automatically notified via the push notifications within Ability8.

Start a chat

1. To access the chat feature, tap the speech balloons icon (top of your screen).

2. Tap New Chat.

3. (Optional) Enter a chat title.

4. Select the users for this conversation.

5. Tap Start Chat.

6. Enter your message.

   

   It is currently not possible to delete an individual message. If you need to delete a message, you would have to delete the entire conversation via the Chat settings (three cogs icon).

7. (Optional) To attach a file to the message, tap the paper clip icon and select the file.

8. Tap the paper plane icon to send the message.

Search or view chat files

1. Tap the chat that want to search or view files.

2. Tap the three cogs icon (top right corner)

3. Tap View Files.

4. Enter a keyword to search for a file.

5. Tap the file icon to view the file.
